Scott Bolden, a renowned U.S. attorney and managing partner of Reed Smith's Washington DC office, will be in Italy next week, accompanied by Fabio Marazzi, senior managing partner of BMV Law Tax Finance.
Together they will meet with leading industry associations in northern Italy to discuss topics of interest to companies seeking business opportunities in the United States. Of particular interest will be the meeting with ANIMA Confindustria, the industrial organization of Confindustria, which represents companies in the mechanical sector and has more than 1,000 member companies, and UCIMU, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation and ancillary products, which currently has more than 200 member companies to which are attributed more than 70% of the sector's Made in Italy products.
There are also scheduled meetings with important international companies based in Italy, such as Pictet, one of the leading independent investment companies in Europe, and Mazars, a leading international consulting firm in the audit and tax sector, which supports SMEs, multinationals and privates.
This visit comes as part of BMV's commitment to create more internationalization opportunities for Italian companies in the U.S. market. As a matter of fact, William Erb, a prominent U.S. attorney with over 30 years of experience recently joined the firm as Of Counsel. Prior to joining BMV, he worked for many years for the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and the DOJ (Department of Justice).
